One of my New Year's Resolutions is to do more art this year, and to really take the time to appreciate it and enjoy it, sometimes I forget that art has been my passion since I was child. I guess sometimes life takes over and there's not enough time to do something you enjoy, just for you, just for fun.
So I bought a sketch pad (with completely the wrong paper for paints, but whatever) which I can open up any time and work in using any medium. As it's not specialist paper there's no pressure to create a master piece. It's for me to try things out, see if they work, see if they're rubbish. As I'm really new to water colours it's a great place for me to practise and improve.
I used watercolour and pencil to create this sweet yellow bird.
