I've seen this DIY floating around the internet many times and I've wanted to try it out for ages. Anything related to animals is a huge hit with Orlaith so she is pretty excited about our new jars (especially the one housing the chocolate coins). We also made a deal where she was able to save one of the animals from a jar lid in exchange for a tree. She now takes her tiny donkey around everywhere with her, and even cuddles it to sleep (which is so funny because it's so small and we often have to hunt for it in the bed sheets in the morning).
I thought I'd share the steps for those who haven't come across this project before. It's probably the most simple DIY I've ever attempted. And I love the result. (I bought my pack of animals from Primark which are quite small so would fit any jar).
:o

Such a cute idea! I am obsessed with jars! I used to keep everyone that came into the house until my husband told me "I think we have enough jars," then I looked at him and said "there is no such thing as enough jars!" lol
ReplyDeleteVery clever and cute! I have to tell you I love your pics of London, when I saw them I was instantly missing it....my family and I are thinking it might be time for a Europe trip this year, depending on $$ that is. Diane

ReplyDeleteSuper cute! Did you prep the jar lids at all before spraying them? I tried something similar once and the paint just peeled right off of the lids :(
