I'm taking a little walk down memory lane today and showing you something in my sketchbook from a couple of years ago. This is my favourite medium I like to use, a simple pencil. The problem is you can't do much with pencil sketches so they tend to make a home in a sketch pad somewhere.
For me when I look at certain pieces of work I remember what was happening in my life when I did them, similar to when you hear a piece of music that holds memories or feelings. At the time I did this I was in quite a negative place, even though I didn't think so then, but my life was about the change quite a lot :-) For any one who is wondering this is not a picture of Orlaith, it was copied from an advert in a magazine.
You are so unbelievably talented :) x
ReplyDeletewhoa this is amazing! so jealous of your talent ;)

I love the baby sketch. I did that myself years ago. I copied a picture of a baby from and ad...........I framed it and its on the wall in the house. Trouble with pencil is that it fades. I am sure someone knows how to prevent that from happening but I don't.
ReplyDeleteyours is too special to leave in a book. Frame it so people can see it I would say.
Will follow you so I can see more.
